Managers of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority say a plan detailing areas that require investment under the SADA initiative, has been finalized.
If endorsed, the investment plan will serve as a guide to SADA in the next phase of its activities where concrete development projects will be initiated.
A member of the technical team, Dr. Sulley Gariba says the plan will be presented to the Board by the end of the week for approval.
He told Joy Business that the investment plan has been designed in collaboration with the National Development Planning Commission to ensure it does not conflict with any other programmes the government may have for the area.
“Eighteen months have been spent, choreographing the strategy, translating it into a policy, and using it to formulate a law. So for the first time we have three significant pillars of public policy formation,” Dr Gariba said.
He said the SADA initiative was a long-term project spanning 30 years but it has been divided into phases for easy implementation and monitoring.
