World Leading manufacturers of top range elevators and escalators, Schindler has joined forces with Altra Electricals as its partner in Ghana.This ground breaking event was announced at an executive dinner held at Le Magellan Restaurant.The event was hosted by the Managing Director of Altra Electricals, Mr. Tarek Awayda and was attended by his board of directors, the President of the Ghana Institute of Architects, Mr. Adotei Brown and the cross section of professionals in the building industry.Also present at the ceremony was the Africa Support Manager for Schindler SA, Mr. Frank Neal and Sales Manager for Africa, Mr. John Williams.Speaking to newsmen at the event, Mr. Tarek Awayda said Altra Electricals was proud of its association with Schindler and expressed his joy that companies in Ghana would now enjoy quality and affordable elevators and escalators from SchindlerA two day workshop on 17 and 18 October was also organized by Altra Electricals and Schindler for professionals in the building industry at the plush African Regent Hotel.Movers and shakers in the building industry, including architects and estate developers attended the event.Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Tarek Awayda explained the rationale behind the workshop was to introduce Schindler’s S3300 product line, the ideal product for the African and Ghanaian market.Mr. Awayda promised that Altra Electricals would work hard in the coming years in Ghana to enhance the image and position of Schindler as a market leader in the elevators and escalators worldwide.
