A 21-year-old final year student of the Ejuraman Anglican Senior High School in the Ashanti Region has been stabbed to death by another student in an argument over a girl.
Reports say the deceased, Robert Mensah and Steven Boadi, believed to be the suspect, went out on permission during the day and tried to make advances at a young lady but were unsuccessful.
In the night during lights out, Steven is reported to have remarked that the girl was not good looking and that sparked the argument which resulted in a scuffle during which Robert was stabbed.
Since the school has no vehicle, the watchman had to carry Robert to the hospital on his motorbike where the victim was pronounced dead after having bled excessively.
The headmaster of the school, Gove Hulede, confirmed the story and said the entire school was shocked by the incident.
He explained that since the argument begun during light out hours, there was nothing the authorities could do.
Mr. Hulede said the police immediately moved in to maintain law and order by arresting the student involved in the incident.
Currently the Ejura Police have taken up the matter for investigations while the families of the victim and the suspect have been informed.
