Ex-Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful is calling for the axing of Torino's Afriyie Acquah and Aston Villa's Jordan Ayew from Ghana's squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.
This should be done, he says, if there is enough evidence to justify claims of tension between the two.
Arhinful's proposal comes on the back of a leaked audio tape where the wife of Afriyie Acquah, Amanda, is heard revealing details of an apparent four-year sexual relationship with Jordan.
Arhinful spoke exclusively to Joy FM's Super Morning Show with Kojo Yankson on Wednesday.
"[The GFA] should seek audience with [the two players], and if indeed anyone is harboring something then both players should drop from the team."
"Because it is likely to bring problems in the set up. Whether we like it or not, it's an issue we need to deal with. The Black Stars is supposed to assemble next week for an important game.
"[The GFA] must speak to them privately and [it must be done] now!"
Arhinful also warned Afriyie Acquah about his wife who has been involved in several controversial leaked tapes in the past.

This latest tape has come less than two weeks after the footballer publicly expressed his unflinching love for Amanda after rumors that their marriage was on the brink.
This pronouncement from the Torino player had been necessitated by an alleged leak of nude photos featuring Amanda with another lover.
"But this lady in question Afriyie Acquah should be very careful. Because before the Africa Cup of Nations [in January this year], there was a leaked tape indicting Kenpong and others, but he escaped and had a great tournament."
"Subsequently, there was another tape Afriyie came out to strongly defend and few weeks later we hear this. I really don't know. Or probably [Amanda] brags too much," he noted.
Black Stars coach Avram Grant is expected to name his squad for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali and a friendly against Congo on September 1.
