Six Togolese were on Saturday arrested near the Ghana-Togo border as part of measures to prevent non-Ghanaians from casting their ballots.
The border has been closed to ensure fair and peaceful elections but reports say some Togolese including the six, managed to make their way into the Ghana end of the border.
According to Joy FM correspondent Eugene Cofie, the six were reprimanded but have since been released.
He reports there is heavy military presence at the Ghana end of the border, ostensibly to scare non-Ghanaian voters away.
Meanwhile, low voter turn-out has characterized voting at the Jiasikan constituency in the Volta Region.
Out of 332 registered voters in the District Council Hall in the constituency, only 72 voters had managed to cast their ballot as at 12:30 pm, a far cry from what happened in the general election.
Eugene Cofie attributes it to heavy military presence which he said is capable of scaring the voters away from casting their ballots.
