The great inter-school rivalry traces its way back to the days where students looked forward to that time when they rub shoulders with their mates from other schools in their region.
These healthy rivalry and friendship of sporting disciplines during our school days is what Joy Fm has done over 10 years of this celebration.
It is with this motivation that Schools like Prempeh College and Opoku Ware, Accra Aca and Presec Legon , St Augustine’s and Mfantsipim, Wey Gey Hey and Holyco just to mention a few, will go to any length to ensure they emerge winners in almost all the disciplines.
The jama, the school attire, the Kits for the Sports men and women all play a role in this GREAT RIVALRY. Even the teachers of these schools end up joining in the struggle to stand out among their peers.
To this end, Joy Fm is again inviting old school mates to this Year’s Skuuls Reunion but with a twist of re–enacting the spirit of this healthy inter–schools rivalry on the 17th September,2011 at the Trade Fair Centre as these schools battle it out in various Sporting activities Such as Five Aside, Scrabble competition, Table tennis,50 meter dash amongst others.
On the Main stage, its going to be even bigger as we climax the Sharp Brain Competition, Jama Section and the much awaited Azonto Dance.
If the high sense of enthusiasm and energy felt in the studios during the studio appearances is anything to go by, then you can imagine what it will be like when tens of thousands meet at the trade fair to slug it out in various fun and entertaining activities. You certainly don’t want to be left out in this year’s old skuuls re-union.
