The Local Black Stars yesterday, drew goalless with the Eagles of Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium in the final international friendly ahead of the Africa Nations Championship(CHAN) next month in South Africa. The game afforded Coach Maxwell Konadu the opportunity to prune down his 29-man squad to the final 23.
The Malians dominated the first half and came close to scoring twice but were frustrated by some brilliant goalkeeping by Isaac Amoako who made a strong case for the final squad.
The Stars were without a host of regulars such as Jordan Opoku, Godfred Saka and Theophilus Anobaah who watched their colleagues from the stands at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Bancey tested the Malian goalie, Konate Souleymane, twice first on the 56th minute and second from a glancing header four minutes minutes later.
