Mr. Michael Kofi Mensah, Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District Chief Executive, on Friday advised residents in the town to clear their surrounding of weeds to enable security persons to patrol those areas to flush out criminals who hide at such places.He gave the advice when he met landlords, land developers, assembly members, chiefs and a cross-section of the community to discuss the recent serial killings at Suhum.Mr. Mensah appealed to the chiefs, assembly members and the entire community to give their maximum support to the security personnel to enable them to deal with the criminals.He said the assembly had started replacing street light bulbs in the town.The District Commander of Police, Deputy Superintendent E. K. Amoako asked landlords to report any suspected persons loitering around their premises to the police.He also appealed to watchmen not to entertain visitors when on duty in the night since some of them may be criminals.The representative of Suhum chief, Nana Brobbey assured the DCE and the police that the chiefs and elders would do everything possible to assist in the arrest of the criminals.Source: GNA
