Legendary Coach Ibrahim Sunday has told JOY Sports the Ghana Football Association must quickly hand Sellas Tetteh a national team job before he is snapped up by another country after resigning as Rwanda Coach.
The ex-Liberty Professionals technical head ended his 18 months stay as coach of the Rwandan national team on Tuesday following a 5-0 thrashing in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Ivory Coast at the weekend.
Ibrahim Sunday, who coached both Asante Kotoko and Africa Sports of the Ivory Coast to African titles told JOY Sports, “He has done something here and he knows the terrain here better than any other place."
He added that, "I think that if a coach fails in one team, that doesn’t mean he is going to fail forever, so maybe his luck is here. We understand him better here and I believe we should give him a job.”
Sellas Tetteh made history by leading the Black Satellites, the only African side to win the prestigious FIFA under 20 world cup in 2009.
