Abuakwa South constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed, has said Sylvester Mensah is both physically and intellectually fit for the presidency.
He is, therefore, urging all branch and constituency executives to support him.
Speaking at a meeting with the NDC branch and constituency executives Alhaji Sanusi said, "we know Hon Sly and the work he has done for the party. We always knew that he's a good 'material' for the presidency, physically. But after his address to the delegates, I can say that he is also intellectually fit for the presidency.”
“We are pleased with his message and I would like to on behalf of the branches endorse the candidature of Hon Sly," he emphasised.
Mr. Sylvester Adinam Mensah addressed the party’s executives in Abuakwa South constituency as part of his tour of his Eastern Regional campaign tour to interact with delegates and appeal for their support in the upcoming NDC presidential primaries.
The branch executives expressed dissatisfaction on the way the national party gives the Constituency very little attention because of the notion that Abuakwa South constituency is the stronghold of the NPP and appealed to Mr. Mensah to pay attention to them, when given the nod.
Mr. Mensah assured the executives that under his leadership, the NDC shall adopt pragmatic strategies to cater for their situation.
He also outlined strategies for capturing the Abuakwa South seat in the next elections.
Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed also noted that NDC is blessed with good materials ready to lead the party at all times.
