The Tema police are holding five suspects for allegedly breaking into a cold store to steal fish.
They face charges of unlawful entry, causing damage to property and stealing.
They were reportedly caught while trying to pack about 180 cartons of fish into a truck from a cold store near the Tema Fishing Harbour.
Public Relations Officer for the Tema police, Inspector Olivia Turkson told Joy News they suspect some fish sellers maybe involved.
She said investigations were underway to identify and arrest the potential buyers.
According to her, traders who buy the stolen fish are encouraging the thieves to steal.
