Mario Balotelli can't keep out of the headlines of late and now it seems he's destined to dominate the charts too after pint-sized rap star Tinchy Stryder dedicated a track to the Manchester City striker.
Balotelli's antics have earned a certain notoriety since his ÂŁ24million switch from Inter Milan to the Etihad Stadium last year.
Just this week he enthralled drinkers at a local pub in Manchester where he put ÂŁ1,000 behind the bar as a Christmas treat for the patrons before heading to Midnight Mass at a local church.
His sublime ability to hit the front and back pages – for good or bad – led the Italy international to reveal his infamous 'Why Always Me' t-shirt during the 6-1 victory over Manchester United in October – a message which clearly resonated with Stryder.
The rapper penned the hit which he released on Christmas Eve as a free festive gift for his fans on an EP called The Wish List.
The eight-track release features a number of grime hits which have made the 5ft 1in singer a huge star in recent years.
But the track about Balotelli is the stand-out tune. Starting with a number of clips of interviews with the City striker, the chorus uses his shirt slogan and name as the hook.
'Why always me, why always me, why always me… Mario Balotelli!'
But he's not the only football player to feature. Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech earns a mention too, if only as a warning to people to keep their heads down.
