President J.E.A. Mills has debunked claims his government has failed to bring about the change he promised Ghanaians. He said the change was here and appealed for patience.Prof. Mills was addressing supporters in Kumasi where he is participating in the climax of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.The president said the process of bringing substantial change in every facet of Ghanaian life has begun in earnest.According to him, he is up to the task and will fulfill his promises of creating jobs and developing the country. The president’s critics say he has exhibited ambivalence and some cases outright lack of capacity to deal with the country’s problems. The New Patriotic Party has even suggested a meeting of economic think tanks be called to deliberate on the general economic malaise of the country and find solutions. They contend the country was caught in an economic quagmire and needs urgent action.Story by Malik Abass Daabu/Myjoyonline.com
