The Biblical admonition that “spare the rod and spoil the child” has often been cited to back the need to punish children who go wrong.
But it appears in our communities there are many excesses that are discouraging thousands of children from either going to school or being able to learn effectively.
On Hotline this week Richard Kojo Nyarko travels around the country to find out about the many abuses children in schools go through on a daily basis and how this is affecting their academics. This is The Truth about Corporal Punishment.
