The Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Mr. Commodore Mensah has said he does not earn any financial benefits working for Accra Hearts of Oak.According to him, the only benefit one can earn in football administration in Ghana is some privileges accorded senior officials which he believes is not limited to only football but to all public servants. In an interview on Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show, he stated that, running football in Ghana grants people who under normal circumstances will not even be suitable as your gardener, the opportunity to rain all sorts of insults on officials. He said all the negative things that accompany football administration in the country have dire consequences on the immediate families of the officials.Members of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko management team, Mr. Jerry Asare and Mr. Kwame Baah-Nuako however believe football administration brings economic value such as prestige and honour.According to them, all these benefits exceed the disadvantages one faces in football administration.Story by Benedict Owusu Danquah/Asempa Sports/Ghana
