Tigo Ghana picked the Best TV Commercial, Marketing Communication Category, at this year’s CIMG (Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana) Awards.
A statement from Tigo said the award is testimony of its marketing communication prowess.
The award-winning commercial, which appears to have resonated very well with the target audience, depicts how Tigo Cash can conveniently and easily be used to send cash to friends and loved ones and to make ‘micro’ payments for daily transactions.
Prior to the CIMG award, Tigo had already picked up a couple of awards for its marketing activities this year. Notable amongst them are the Best Marketing Campaign 2012, Best Mobile Money Product 2012 – Tigo Cash and Best Use of Social Media 2012 at Ghana Telecom Awards held in June this year.
Brands Communications Manager at Tigo, Linda Narh was quoted as saying “these recognitions only give testament to the painstaking efforts Tigo makes to ensure its marketing activities, from product development through to communication are driven by consumer insights.”
