Speaker of the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana, Alban Bagbin has warned the legislators that if they want to get his attention, they would have to exhibit good behaviour in the House.
Addressing the conduct of the House Friday, he said he'll be taking note of all the happenings in the House moving forward.
"Honorable members, let me repeat. Let me repeat. The ability to catch the eye of the Speaker includes good behavior. And so I am taking note of the happenings in the house," he said.
He added that the House will soon be broadcasting its proceedings live on TV and advised the members of the house to exhibit "parliamentary behaviour" because their families will be observing their conducts in the House.
"We will soon. The house will soon be broadcast live and your families, your kids...Your children will all be observing you on the floor, and then we’ll see whether you’d continue not to exhibit parliamentary behaviour. So honourable members lets listen to the honourable member for Suame in silence."
This warning came about after the MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu addressed the NPP Caucus as the majority of the House which turned the house into disarray.
