Paramount Chief of the Asogli Traditional Area, Togbe Afede XIV, has emerged as winner of the Stone Neighbourhood Hero Promotion.The promotion is one of the key yearly activities rolled out by the Stone Strong Lager brand, produced by premier beverage manufacturer, Accra Brewery Limited (ABL).According to Jerry Gokah, Brands Executive of Accra Brewery Ltd, “Stone is a brand that recognizes and celebrates men who are making a difference in their various fields of endeavour. Neighbourhood Hero Promotion is a radio activation intended to recognize and celebrate responsible men who are making a difference within their communities. These men touch the lives of others significantly and need recognition and that is what Stone Strong Lager seeks to do”.The Chiefs and people of the Volta Region as well as Ho through a radio platform chose Togbe Afede XIV, as a Neighbourhood Hero for his immense contribution to the development of the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole.For his award, Togbe Afede XIV who is also the President of the Volta Regional House of chiefs received cases of Stone Strong Lager, other assorted products of ABL and a certificate of honour.‘I am very much happy with the recognition accorded me and consider it a motivation to do more for the betterment of humanity.’Mr James Boakye Sarfo, Brands Manager of Accra brewery Limited who was also present at the event emphasized that “Togbe Afede XIV whose contribution has affected lives significantly is truly a Champion. As we celebrate his achievements, we further use this opportunity to congratulate this gallant son of Ghana for his tenth anniversary on assuming the mantle of Abgobgomefia of the Asogli State. We wish him a long stay on the throne in good health as he continues to impact lives”.The promotion has so far been executed in seven regions across the country while I6 individuals have been recognized and celebrated for making a difference within their communities and touching the lives of others.
