Investors will from tomorrow have the opportunity to trade in Gold on the Ghana Stock Exchange, GSE just like other listed stocks. This is because all is now set for trading in the Gold Exchange Traded funds from tomorrow.
The open-ended investment instrument allows investors trade in the fund which is directly linked to the prices of Gold but not the actual commodity.
It is locked into gold – thereby allowing investors to have exposure to gold without directly allowing them to buy the assets.
The fund which listed in other markets in African is currently worth 2.1 billion dollars. However 400 thousand shares will be available to investors for trading in Ghana.
