There were no fatalities when a passenger train on Wednesday ran into a Metro Mass Transit bus in a bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Graphic Road, contrary to an eye-witness account.
The lady-witness, who spoke to Asempa FM during its Ekosii Sen current affairs programme, had reported a shredding of the bus when the passenger train ran into it.
A follow-up by Myjoyonline.com established that the train travelling from Kantamanto (Train Station) to Dome grazed the front of the Metro Mass Transit bus with registration number GR 6341 which was sitting in traffic on the level crossing of the Graphic Road railway crossing.
The impact wrenched the front of the bus.
Eye-witness at the scene told Myjoyonline.com no one was injured, and if any, it coould be only the driver who was however nowhere to be found minutes after the accident. He was suspected to have been taken to the hospital.
The accident occurred during the evening rush hour.
