Teenagers go through a lot on their way to becoming adults. One of the most uncomfortable and embarrassing problems they face is acne.
They have to put up with a lot of laughing when they have skin problems, so most of them start an acne treatment as soon as they can. But what happens once the acne is gone?
Well, in general, as acne is treated, most of the spots are gone, but it is also true that if a teen had a serious acne condition, he/she may have scars and black spots once the treatment is finished.
To treat black spots there are a number of products that can be used.
There are many bleaching creams available on the market.
They generally have hydroquinone, kojic acid, beta-carotene and licorice acid, and dermatologists agree that they have wonderful effects when combined with other active ingredients such as glycolic acid.
Since most of these creams contain acids, they work by suppressing the action of the enzyme that is in charge of releasing melanin, while also impeding the production of more melanin.
This makes black spots disappear and makes the skin look much better.
Before purchasing a bleaching cream, make sure you check with a dermatologist to see which is the best option for you.
Choosing the right cream depends on your skin type and your tolerance for the ingredients in them.
Another good ally in the war against black spots is exfoliation. This should be done by a professional because exfoliators work with acids such as lactic acid, glycolic acid and salicylic acid.
Don’t worry if you start to peel. That is a natural consequence of exfoliation with acids. As you peel, you’ll be able to see how the new layers of healthy skin are coming out.
You won’t see immediate results, but over the weeks you will see how the dark spots start to vanish.
There are some alternatives for you to use to exfoliate at home. These, of course, do not contain acids but use natural ingredients.
Handmade bleaching creams should contain fruits and food to make your skin look a lot better. Use lemon, honey, milk and even carrots to improve the aspect of your skin.
