Once again, Ghana’s premier beverage producer Accra Brewery Limited has pulled through its Stone Neighbourhood Champion activations in Accra, Kumasi and Sunyani.
It is a radio programme that kick-started last year to recognize, appreciate and celebrate men who are making a difference in their communities through their indulgence in socially relevant and supportive initiatives that touch lives.
According to ABL’s Marketing Manager James Boakye–Sarfo “Making a difference is about being responsible, impacting on the lives of others no matter how small it may be. We at ABL have a strong conviction that appreciating such men is to encourage them continue their good works and also for them to serve as role models for others to emulate. The Stone Neighborhood Champion Programme will keep celebrating champions in our society every year.”
During its recent activation in Sunyani, William Kyeremeh and Solomon Weingam were nominated as Neighborhood Champions on Dinpah FM in Sunyani for the dedication and selfless sacrifices they are making in their communities.
Mr Kyeremeh is a teacher who accepted posting to the Kyeamekrom D/A JHS in the Sene District – Kwame Danso in the Brong Ahafo Region. His acts of benevolence include providing school bags, slippers, books and other basic necessities to the pupils who are in desperate need of these items. All these William does at his expense.
Mr Weingam is also involved in such benevolent activities in Asueyi Methodist JHS in Techiman in the same region.
As the ABL Marketing Manager puts it, “The Stone Strong Lager brand is proud to be associated with such individuals [William and Weingam] who do not only yearn to create and sustain comfortable lifestyles for themselves but strive to offer helping hands to those in dire need.'
"It is heart-warming to see these young adults in their mid-twenties engaging in such benevolent activities within their communities”.
