The Twifo Praso District Magistrate Court have imposed a total fine of 1,920000 cedis on two drivers for picking passengers at unauthorized places at Twifo Praso.
The drivers, Kwesi Tawiah and Kwesi Eghan both from Praso pleaded guilty and were convicted on their own pleas and were fined 960,000 cedis each.
They would each go to prison for six months in default.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector George Okine told the court presided over by Seth Bio Nyamekye that the convicts were arrested on February 16 and 23 2007, respectively for picking passengers at an unauthorized places at Twifo Praso.Source: GNA
