Two people died after a road traffic accident at Kwasu, off the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters from the Bechem Fire Station responded to a distress call at 1:45 pm and dispatched a seven-member rescue team led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe to the scene.
According to the Service, a Toyota Voxy with registration number AS 6403-25 was involved in the crash.
Out of the eight occupants, two were found dead at the scene and handed over to the Police, while six others were rescued and transported to the Bechem Government Hospital by the National Ambulance Service for treatment.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.
