Two Ghanaians Ellis Atekpea, Executive Director of Ghana Home Loans and Otiwaa Oduro-Kwarteng, a staff of Nestle Ghana Ltd are on their way to join the excitement at the on-going FIFA Confederations Cup Tournament 2009 currently underway in South Africa. The FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 kicked off to a thrilling start on Sunday June 14, with host nation South Africa holding a goalless draw against Asian champions Iraq in the opening match. Spain, 2008 European Champions the other hand, beat New Zealand 5 goals to nothing in the second encounter of the day. The two emerged winners of the of the VISA Card Promotion draw of the Stanbic Bank on Winning Promotion. They get the privilege of watching Egypt play Italy on 18th June, a match which promises to be an exciting clash of champions: Italy are the 2006 FIFA World Cup Champions whilst Egypt are the 2008 African Cup of Nations Champions. Additionally, 48 other individuals have won assorted VISA branded consolation prizes, including T-shirts, baseball caps, bucket caps and pens.
