The United States has commended Ghana's government for its efforts to tackle hi-tech crime, offering to support her campaign to battle the new menace.
Accordingly, State prosecutors would soon receive specialist training in counter terrorism, anti complex fraud, and money laundering and narcotics detection.
The agreement follows a meeting between Attorney General (AG) and Minister of Justice Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu and her American counterpart, Mr. Eric Holder during her visit to the US.
A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by the Ministry of Justice quoted Mrs. Iddrisu as saying that the meeting was very successful, with both parties agreeing to cooperate on law enforcement and continue to work together on matters of mutual national benefit.
Mr. Holder was also informed of the establishment of the economic and organised crime office and financial intelligence centre to fight money laundering and organised crime.
