The Vice President John Mahama will on Wednesday cut the sod for the construction of special lanes for the Bus Rapid Transit System to take off.
This comes after months of opposition from commercial drivers.
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union which kicked against the project has now agreed to the implementation after its fears of job losses were allayed.
Communications Specialist for the project Kojo Antwi in an interview with Joy News assured passengers of a convenient and improved public transportation system in the next eighteen months.
