Vodafone Ghana, a subsidiary of the world’s leading telecommunications group, says it has refreshed its Talk ‘n’ Talk promotion as the hugely successful 3030 promotion ends on Wednesday 11 August, 2010.
Originally scheduled to end on July 31, 2010, Vodafone decided to extend the 3030 promotion deadline to Wednesday August 11, 2010 in response to customers appeal for more days to keep talking. The 3030 promotion lasted for three months plus eleven days grace period, and reports from Vodafone indicate that the promotion exceeded its target. The 3030 promotion has created a lot of excitement in the market as Vodafone customers were treated to three months of the most competitive call rates in the telecoms industry in Ghana where customers paid only 0.30 GHp for talking up to 30 minutes.
The other element of the 3030 promo was the television advert which showed eight exciting episodes that took television advertising by storm. The eight episodes depicted two young people on a blind date who would not stop talking to each other on their phones until they finally met in a restaurant, thanks to the 3030 call rate benefit.
As the 3030 promo ends on Wednesday 11 August, Vodafone has already refreshed its Talk ‘n’ Talk promotion so that its customers and mobile subscribers continue to benefit from competitive call rates. With the Talk ‘n’ Talk promo, customers who top up with GH¢2 or GH¢5 cards get a 50% bonus and those who top up with GH¢10 or GH¢20 get a massive 75% guaranteed bonus. The bonus credits can be used for both voice and data.
In an interview in Accra, the Head of Strategy and Brands, Uche Ofodile, told the media that the 3030 promotion exceeded its target by 31%; but what is more important for Vodafone is the fact that “it gave our customers and subscribers something to be excited about”. Miss Ofodile said that the refreshing of the Talk ‘n’ talk promotion confirms our commitment to always give our customers value for money products and services. “With Talk ‘n’ Talk we are encouraging people to switch to Vodafone to enjoy guaranteed bonus credits that can be used to call any network, any time and from anywhere without worrying about inter network call rates. Our customers can use the bonus credits for international calls as well.”
