Over 300 Vodafone retailers across the country have so far been rewarded in the ongoing Retail Akyeadea Promotions by the telecom operator.
An additional 100 who have helped market the Vodafone brand to subscribers are to be rewarded in Tema and Ho before the end of April.
Corporate Communications Manager, Daniel Kissi Asiedu says the retailers are core to the company’s operations hence the establishment of the scheme to reward them.
“What we aim to do here in Ghana is that we want to empower people, to inspire people; we want to actually do this to everyone who comes into contact with the brand and today we’ve rewarded over 17 retailers who’ve helped Vodafone reach their customers”, he told LuvBiz Report at an event to award retailers in Kumasi.
Top prizes included motorcycles, retailer kiosk, LCD TV, refrigerators, DVD Home Theater Systems, microwave ovens and shopping cash vouchers.
According to Mr. Asiedu, the retailers as nearest point of contact to the customers need to be supported to make Vodafone products easily accessible.
