Week three of the Ghana Women’s Premier League continued with an incredibly high amount of goals with Hasaacas Ladies and Northern Ladies running riot in their respective games.
Hasaacas Ladies made amends for their poor start as they demolished visiting Lady Strikers 9-0 at the Essipong sports stadium.
Attackers Doris Boaduwaa and Milot Pokua both scored four goals each with Milot providing an assist to take the player of the match award.
Captain Janet Egyir added one to enable the giant ladies from west to recover from their slow start.
On Friday, Northern Ladies also demolished Ashtown Ladies winning by six unanswered goals. Midfielders Torkudzor Fredrica and Salifu Victoria both scored braces, forward Jafara Rahama had one goal and also won the player of the match.
The security service derby was at the McDan La Community park, Police Ladies made a sluggish start with Immigration ladies mounting pressure on them.
Police Ladies captain Leticia Zikpi was brought down right in front of the penalty area resulting in a free kick which was whipped in by midfielder Faustina Kyere and met by Juanita Aguadze’s who poked home from close range.
Samaria Ladies rallied from behind to pick a crucial away draw against the star-studded Sea Lions at the Paa Kwesi Ndoum stadium. Blessing Agbomadzie of Sea Lions was awarded player of the match.
Prisons Ladies maintained their fine form with a lone strike home to win against Pearl Pia Ladies, a sixth minute goal from Edith Sesakor was all that separated the two sides as they played an entertaining game at the Sunyani Coronation park. Basira Alhassan won the player of the match.
Fabulous ladies also came from behind to draw barren with Ampem Darkoa at the Wesco Park. Midfielder G. Yanyimaya opened the score for the away team but a sensational strike from Princess Owusua grabbed a deserved equalizer for Fabulous Ladies to spill points.
