A new soccer programme dubbed the Wonder Soccer Talent Hunt has been launched to provide opportunities to young footballers aiming to pursue their careers abroad.
The project which expands within a period of three months is expected to help unearth talents across the 10 regions in Ghana.
Organizers in their bid to help every talented young footballer to partake in the event has divided the justifiers into two folds with the first session which will be organized for Northern zone taking place in Suame (Kumasi) from 13th to 24th June 2016.
The second session of the exercise designed for the Southern zone also takes place at the University of Ghana from 4th to 29th July.
Scouts will, however, select players who will excel in the exercise before choosing a final 22 who will eventually be camped and groomed by professional football coaches.
These players will engage in series of football matches which will also be used as part of the screening process. Players will hence have the opportunity to travel to Europe for a training tour.
The screening exercise which seeks to see top class talents with quality and great potentials will require players ranging from 16-22.
UEFA Licensed Coach Rene Koster who is a former youth trainer for Dutch Club AZ Alkmaar will help in the selection process.
The project which is been authorized by the Ghana Football Association is partnered by football talent Inc. of the Netherland which is based in Amsterdam and was officially launched last Friday.
