Alhaji Ahmed Iddrisu Adam, Acting Northern Regional Secretary of the Ghana Trades Union Congress (GTUC) has advised workers to acquaint themselves with labour laws, especially Act 651 of 2003, to promote work place relationship.
Alhaji Adam explained that it was necessary for every worker to know the labour laws, so that they would not indulge in acts that would infringe on work place norms that could cause them their dismissals, he told the GNA in an interview in Tamale on Wednesday.
He explained that, the new labour law, Act 651, is a consolidation of all pieces of labour laws in the country, some of which had been in existence since independence.
