The Bawku West District Magistrate court at zebilla has recorded a high number of land cases following a sharp drift of people fleeing conflict-prone Bawku Municipality.
The cases range from multiple and unlawful sale of land.
The registrar of the court, Mr George Anafo, made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Zebilla.
He called on real estate developers and land owners to safeguard their property by documenting their lands with the Lands Valuation Board and the Lands Commission.
Mr Anafo expressed the need for the District authorities to assist people to registrar their lands to avert conflict.
