Japan Motors Trading Company Ltd (JMTC) has launched the new 2018 Nissan Qashqai, said to be the best selling crossover that delivers a range of premium design, technology and improved performance.
With a significant enhancement of the car's premium character, the new Qashqai focuses on a contemporary new exterior design, higher levels of interior quality and improved driving performance.
Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility technologies have also been added, continuing Nissan's ongoing journey towards zero emissions and safest driving.
Unveiling the vehicle at a Press launch at JMTC head office on the Graphic road in Accra, Mr Imad Antoine Ghorayeb, the Director, Sales and Marketing, expressed delight for the birth of the all-new Qashqai that provides a more confident drive thanks to a number of under-the-skin improvements.
He said the new model maintains its outstanding handling performance.
“Modifications to the suspension to suit the African market, damping and steering systems that have resulted in an even more refined on-the-road experience. Improved use of absorption materials and increased rear glass thickness that have led to a reduction in cabin noise from the road, engine and wind. Striking new 18-inch alloy wheel is available, and aerodynamically optimized to maximize efficiency” he revealed.
Mr. Ghorayeb also threw more light on the fresh design of the new Qashqai which, offers greater sophistication and a new 'premium dynamic' style with a revised front end, including the latest Nissan 'V-motion' grille, headlamps revised with a new version of the 'boomerang' Daytime Running Light signature and adaptive front lighting that improves night-time safety.
At the rear, the car’s instantly recognizable 'boomerang' light motif is extended across the whole lamp, and now includes a contemporary 3D lens effect to enhance the signature shape. It also features a Shark fin antenna and a standard Parking sensor (Front & Rear).
Interior enhancements
The Qashqai's enhanced premium appeal presented, is most obvious in the cabin, where an improved layout, higher-quality materials and advanced technology deliver a highly attractive and functional interior for all occupants.
Also new is a D-shaped multi-function steering wheel, with premium satin-chrome inserts features a new four-way controller for the combi-meter display, for more intuitive use and less 'eyes off the road' time.
Mr Ghorayeb further observed that even with so many enhancements, the Qashqai's aerodynamic performance has not been compromised. It continues as segment leader on CO2 emissions. “Such innovation contributes to low running costs for Qashqai drivers,” he said and urged all vehicle lovers to visit Japan Motors showrooms across the country for a unique driving experience.
On his part, Mr Amine Kabbara, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, commented: "Since the introduction of the Nissan Qashqai in 2014, its popularity quickly grew to be the bestseller in its segment. Together with the Nissan Kicks and Xtrail, the Nissan brand has strongly positioned itself well in the SUV Segment”.
With the new 2018Nissan Qashqai, customers are to expect more, with the premium enhancements.
He was hopeful with the introduction of the new Qashqai, Ghana’s Automobile industry will witness a game-changer touting the new vehicle as the heart of Nissan's desire to democratize Intelligent Driving technology.
He endorsed the enhancements in design which he observed has made the Nissan Qashqai a stronger and more exciting partner for drivers, reinforcing its crossover leadership.
