A 24-year-old lady and her boyfriend are in police custody for allegedly killing a 22-year-old community nurse at Kakpagyili a suburb of Tamale.
Zaliya Sulemana, the lady, is facing a provisional charge of murder whiles her boy friend is being charged for abetment of crime.
Speaking to Joy News, Northern Regional Police Crime Officer, Alhaji Mahama Arhin, said the deceased Amina Raudia, was in her house at about 8:30 pm when Zaliya’s rang her that she wanted to have to chat with her.
But the chat led to a physical confrontation that led to the stabbing of Amina, police said.
Amina was rushed to the hospital but she died the following day.
Alhaji Mahama Arhin further stated that police investigations revealed that Zaliya’s boyfriend once dated the deceased – indicating that could be a possible cause of the confrontation that ensued between the two ladies on that fateful day.
“The girl (Zaliya) went to the house with the intent of killing her (Amina)”, said Alhaji Mahama Arhin.
He said the two accused persons are being prepared for court.
