The Head of finance and three others at St. Dominic Hospital at Akwatia in Eastern region have been interdicted by the management of the facility.
It follows a Joy News’ expose indicting some accountants at the hospital for fraudulent acts.
The suspects were believed to have backdated the salaries of newly recruited staff of the facility.
Documents intercepted by Joy News' Kwetey Nartey reveal the four are to step aside to allow for investigations to begin.
Nartey quoted a memo from the Medical Superintendent which stated that the officers, including, Yaw Opoku Agyei, Emmanuel Amanie and Samuel Owusu Saforo have been restricted from engaging in any duties effective 28th June, 2016.
The memo also advised the staff to desist from any official engagement with the four.
The management also urged staff who made payment to any of the officers but who is yet to receive an official receipt to contact the acting hospital administrator or financial controller.
The Controller and Accountant General’s Department has commissioned the BNI to take over investigations.
Officials of the Bureau will be interrogating some staff on Monday.
At least 36 of the staff had their details backdated, a phenomenon which began as far back as 2010.
