Glo Mobile Ghana today presented cash prizes to the first batch of winners in its ‘Text and Win Big Promo’.
The 90-day long promo, launched in January, is an interactive game of skill designed to introduce more fun into the Glo network and reward subscribers for their proficiency in general knowledge.
The seventeen winners, including four students, and an aged person won between GHC2,000 to GHC3,000 each.
Three of the customers, including a young businessman and a former Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, were multiple winners – taking home two different cash prizes for scoring the highest points on a daily and or weekly basis.
There are more daily and weekly cash prizes to be won, and the grand prize of a brand new Toyota Avensis Saloon car is still up for grabs.
The Promo has no formal draw, but its winners are selected based on a simple count of the highest amount of points accumulated by the subscriber in a day, in a week or within the entire promotion period respectively.
The winners are subsequently called and notified of their prizes on their Glo lines and their names published on the campaign website.
Head of Administration at Glo Mobile Ghana, Derek Obuobi reminded the subscribers of the network’s policy of putting its customers first in every aspect of its operations.
‘That policy is sacred to us and in our pursuit of it, we intend to ensure the regular introduction of some excitement into the Glo network experience; indeed, your presence here today to pick up your cheques confirms not only our commitment to meet and exceed the expectations of our cherished subscribers, but also our commitment to the values of transparency and fairness in every offer we make to our customers,’ Mr. Obuobi said.
