Head of the Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee Dr Kofi Amoah is backing Asante Kotoko to reach the group stage of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko will be hosting Kariobangi Sharks at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, on Saturday in the second leg of their first qualifying round tie.
The Porcupine Warriors are confident of eliminating the Kenyan side after a goalless draw in Nairobi last Saturday.
But that could be tricky as a scoring draw could end their campaign.
Dr Amoah is calling for massive support for the team to achieve their set target.
“I hope that Ghanaians will give them their spiritual support because they are one of us,” he said.
“If they go and do well, it will encourage us to do better. Well, it seems going to Africa they have taken it very seriously and the Normalisation Committee we are a bit pleased that we took the courage and allowed them to go.”
