Margaret Carrasco returned a net score of 67 to win this year's Achimota Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize Championship played at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Thursday.
She was followed in second position by Suzie Abaloo-Kumassah with 69 net with Arnet Horseman coming third with 71 net, Margaret Owusu-Baah at the fourth position with 72 net while Janet Hill placed fifth with 75 net.
Suzie Postma won the Bronze Division with 68 net followed by Mercy Bannerman at second position with 69 net while Ama Morgan placed third with 70 net with Erica Van Luit taking the fourth position with 71 net.
B. Asogah grabbed the Girl-Child trophy with 46 net, Georgina Addison followed at the second spot with 49 net with Jessica Tei coming third with 50 net.
The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition was jointly sponsored by Ghana International Airlines, Vanguard Assurance Company Limited, Ecobank Ghana Limited, CAL Bank, Zenith Bank Ghana Limited and The Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited.
Mrs Clara Price, Lady Captain of the Achimota Golf Club whose term of office expired on January 25, commended the companies for sponsoring the competition.
She said the Ladies of the Club instituted the 'Charity Open' which is aimed at raising funds to support needy institutions in the country.
Mrs Price, as customs demanded, handed over the captain's baton to Mrs Mary Hanson, the newly-elected Lady Captain.
