The two feuding factions in the conflict in Nankpanduri in the Northern region have agreed to a cease fire following a peace deal brokered yesterday by the overlord of Mamprugu, Nayiri Naa Dougu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga.Some people have been killed and several others injured in the clashes between the Konkombas and Bimobas which was sparked by a disagreement between the Konkombas and Bimobas over a parcel of land in the area.Several more have fled the town as a result of the violence.The DCE for Gambaga, Imoro Adam, who sat in the meeting, confirmed the agreement by the two sides to Joy News.He said the new peace accord signed by the two factions will certainly lead to peace in the region.He said the factions clearly defined which of the lands belonged to them and which did not.
