Persons indicted in the Maputo report will be dealt with in accordance with the law, Youth and Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has stated.
This follows calls by some members of Parliament for serious action to be taken against all those indicted.A Committee set up to investigate Ghana’s participation in the 2011 All African Games in Maputo, Mozambique fingered some officials, including National Sports Authority boss Worlanyo Agra, for allegedly awarding contracts without following the necessary procedures.Mr Afriyie Ankrah assured Parliament that his Ministry was fully committed to implementing the committee’s report.He said he had already informed persons fingered in the report to answer or face prosecution if they fail to do so.
