Regional Ministers of the Northern and two Upper Regions are set to launch a joint investigation into the controversial 15 million SADA guinea fowl project.
The project grabbed the news headlines following questions of lack of accountability posed by some Members of Parliament.
Some minority MPs said the money had been used for what they term a ghost project and challenged why such a colossal amount was spent on rearing guinea fowl.
Now regional ministers of the Northern and two Upper Regions where the project is based are collaborating to get to the bottom of the matter.
Northern Regional Minister, Bede Zieding says they will also interrogate the use of 33 million cedis for a SADA afforestation project.
“The regional ministers for the Savannah zone will be interested in the matter, so I will be discussing with my colleagues in the Upper East and West because if there are any benefit, it will come to the people around these area,” he said.
He noted they will also have to get in touch to the SADA boss for the proper documentations on the project.
