The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has rounded up eighteen suspected criminals at Dansoman and surrounding areas.Public Relations Officer of the Regional Command, DSP Freeman Tettey told Joys News they were arrested after swoops the hideouts of suspected criminals in various parts of Accra.The operation, dubbed “Taking the Battle to Criminals” involves surprise swoops in every jurisdiction in Accra, he said.DSP Tettey said some of the items found on the suspected criminals include unregistered motor-bikes, cutlasses and marijuana.The suspects will be screened and those with any incriminating evidence will be sent to court on Tuesday, he explained.He said the swoops are conducted in areas where people normally report of bags, mobile phones and other valuables being snatched from them.He explained that some of the people picked up during these swoops are people on police wanted lists.
