About 3000 mine workers of Goldfields Ghana Ltd have registered their discontent about the dismissal of one senior official through a mass demonstration. They are also unhappy and about unfair service conditions.
The workers are drawn from Goldfield's mines at Tarkwa and Damang.
The General Secretary of the Ghana Mine Workers Union, Prince William Ankrah, confirmed the development to Joy News today.
He explained the workers are unhappy with the “apartheid management style and other related issues that are seeking to undermine the future of some key Ghanaian management personnel”.
With this protest, the workers are anticipating a suitable response from management of the company, he said.
