Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur will leave Accra for Istanbul, Turkey on Sunday evening to participate in the 16th Eurasian Economic Summit.
The summit is organised annually with an objective of enhancing relations amongst the European Union, countries of Central Asia as well as the Middle East.
The Eurasian Economic Summit is a gathering of high-level statesmen, bureaucrats, captains of business and private sector representatives from the Eurasian region, with an approximate population of 643 million and purchasing power of about US$6.551 trillion. The region is also geo-politically and economically one of the most important regions of the world.
This year’s summit, which will be addressed by Vice President Amissah-Arthur, who is also the Guest of Honour, will focus on Economy, Energy, Telecommunication, Healthcare, Defense and women’s issues.
Mr Amissah-Arthur will return home on Sunday, 14th April, 2013.
