The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has cut power supply to the Volta region. Residents of the region will be without power for most part of Tuesday.GRIDCo, says it has had to take the action in order to undertake maintenance works.Acting Volta Regional Manager of Electricity Company of Ghana, Benard Tetteh told Joy News that his outfit received a letter from GRIDCo, indicating a scheduled maintenance works to be carried on the transmission lines to Togo.He said since the Region feeds on the same transmission line so they had to be taken off to enable the engineers to carry out their work.Mr. Tetteh said the repair works which begun 7 am, are expected to end by 5 pm, after which power will be restored to the region.
