National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Prof John Evans Atta Mills has sent a goodwill message to President John Agyekum Kufuor after he was involved in a motor accident.
President Kufuor escaped unhurt after his car was rammed late morning on Wednesday while on his way to his office.
The President is reported to be in good health and already back in his seat at the Castle, Osu.
A yet to be identified driver is said to have driven a Benz saloon car straight into that of the President at the Opeibea Intersection on the Airport – 37 Military Hospital road.
Prof Mills, who has been on his ‘house-to-house’ campaign trail in Accra on Wednesday, said he was pleased to know that the President had been declared out of danger. He however, urged all Ghanaians to pray for the total recovery of the President.
“I would want to wish the President speedy recovery and to ask all Ghanaians, especially our religious leaders to spare a thought for our President to pray to the Almighty God for His protection and for His guidance.
“I want to believe that we will continue to pray until the President recovers very, very fully,” he said.
