The Presidency has directed the board of the National Service Scheme (NSS) to ask the scheme’s Executive Director Vincent Kuagbenu to take his accumulated leave.
A source close to the board of directors of the NSS told the Daily Graphic that a formal correspondence had been received from the Chief of Staff directing that Mr Kuagbenu report to the Office of the President for reassignment after the expiration of his leave.
No reasons have been given for the reassignment.
The Deputy Executive Director of the NSS in charge of Finance & Administration, Alhaji Alhassan Imoro, will act as the Executive Director until a substantive executive director is appointed.
In a related development, the Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr Justice Amegashie, has been asked to hand over the administration of the authority.
According to the Transport Ministry, Mr Amegashie has been given four weeks to prepare and hand over.
