Total Petroleum Ghana Limited has commissioned 50 brand new tankers at a brief ceremony in Accra as part of its comprehensive transport policy to reduced accidents on our roads. The fleet of oil tankers would ensure safe transportation of petroleum products in the country and to also ease the pressure on the existing ones that were hitherto forced to cover long distances within a short period in order to serve all the outlets. The 50 brand new tankers estimated at GHC 21 million was financed by SG-SSB Ltd. The beneficiaries of the first phase are J.K Ahiadome Transport Limited, J.K Horgle Limited and Spenhaul Limited. Speaking at the event, Vice President of Total West Africa Thibault de Langlais said safety is an overriding priority for Total. According to him, as the leading Oil Marketing Company in Ghana which is visible in all ten regions, safety delivery of their products to customers is very paramount.
