The Chairman of AGAMS Holdings and Chief Executive Officer of Rlg Communications Ltd, Roland Agambire is among an array of international dignitaries selected to address this year’s Africa Global Business Forum 2013 in the United Arab Emirates capital, Dubai next month.
Mr. Agambire will be one of four panelists who will be discussing “how Africa’s young entrepreneurs are starting to drive its economic future; the view of up and coming young entrepreneurs and business people of Africa”.
The Ugandan Minister for Trade, Industry & Co-operatives, Amelia Kyambadde is billed to chair the session which has Former Malian Prime Minister and Chairman of Microsoft Africa, Cheick Diarra as the Lead Discussant.
A statement issued by the Legal & Corporate Affairs Department of Rlg Communications Limited said Mr. Agambire will speak alongside the Founder & Managing Director Partner of Hoja Law Group of Zambia, Jacqueline Musiitwa; Founder & Executive Director of the Kenya-based Sustainable Development for All-Africa, Evans Wadongo and the Chief Executive Officer of Tanzania’s Helvetic Solar Contractors, Patrick Ngowi.
The Africa Global Business Forum 2013 (AGBF 2013) is organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and COMESA Regional Investment Agency, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Africa Global Business Forum 2013 will offer a platform to over 2,000 policy-makers and global business leaders from Africa, the GCC, Asia and Europe and beyond to discuss current challenges and business opportunities in finance, agribusiness, logistics, and trade across the economic blocs of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the East African Community (EAC), the South African Development Community (SADC), the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD) and the African Union (AU).
The Forum will highlight Dubai’s strategic role as a world-class hub for doing business with Africa. The UAE government has shown great interest in expanding business with the continent seizing opportunities available on the African continent, with an estimated US$97bn in capital expenditure on the continent in the last 10 years.
The Africa Global Business Forum 2013 will provide delegates with access to engaging sessions in which they will have the opportunity to exchange with high-level speakers as well as a large array of networking opportunities which can be taken forward in the designated Meeting Zones. The Forum will also give a flavour to what the African continent has to offer to its residents and visitors in terms of investments and tourism via the designated Tourism and African Investment Promotion Agency Zones, where a selection of African countries will display their main attractions, facilities and business opportunities.
The Africa Global Business Forum 2013 will also be addressed by Sudanese billionaire, MO Ibrahim; HE Danny Faure, Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles and former President of Botswana, Festus Mogae among others.
From Dubai, Mr Agambire will travel to the Scottish city of Aberdeen to address the Robert Gordon University in the United Kingdom.
Mr Agambire will be the Guest Speaker at the Inaugural International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Leadership being organized by the Association of African Students of the Robert Gordon University.
He will speak on “The New frontier of Sustainable Development: The role of the African Youth”.
The statement said Mr Agambire was invited based on achievements especially in the area of job creation and impressive social impact in his country and the sub-region.
